About the Event
About COLOMBIA WIND POWER 2020
Colombia Wind Power 2020 will be an excellent opportunity to learn in depth how the industry is is progressing on projects awarded in the country’s first renewable energy auction last year, and how the industry can emerge stronger than ever after the COVID-19 crisis.
Specifically, we will learn from C-suite leaders how they are resolving bottlenecks such as administrative procedures and environmental assessment, where the social agenda takes on significant relevance, and the progress being made to meet the logistical needs of both land and marine transport.
In the program of this edition, we echo the growing interest in understanding the vision of an electricity system for Colombia that includes new generation powerand storage technologies. It will take into consideration the innovation, technological advances and economies of scale that are taking place in the wind industry at a global level, which offers enormous opportunities in Colombia considering its extraordinary wind resource and its immense unexplored potential to capture clean and affordable energy.
GWEC is a member-based organisation that represents the entire wind energy sector. The members of GWEC represent over 1,500 companies, organisations and institutions in more than 80 countries, including manufacturers, developers, component suppliers, research institutes, national wind and renewables associations, electricity providers, finance and insurance companies.
The Association of Renewable Energy Colombia – SER Colombia, created in March 2016 is a private non-profit organization that brings together more than 60 companies locally and globally that have made a commitment to renewable energy who contribute all their experience and knowledge from the perspective of generators, developers, suppliers and consultants.
SER Colombia was created in order to be a platform for growth and positioning, which represents the interests of its members before the relevant stakeholders in the public sector, associations, chambers and private organizations, both national and international.
While we cannot meet in person in Colombia this year, we will be bringing the country’s industry leaders to you in our virtual expo, where you can listen to live presentations and chat with live booth reps.
