About COLOMBIA WIND POWER 2022

Colombia Wind Power 2022 is the meeting point of a high-level dialogue between the wind energy sector and the new Colombian Administration.

A new political stage begins, strongly committed to the decarbonization of the energy sector,  we face the challenge to materialize ongoing investments that ensure the success of projects, define and conduct the energy transition at an accelerated pace demanded by the climate emergency and civil society. Aspiring to a fair, competitive, sustainable and reliable transition, which will only be ensured from the rapid implementation of new renewable energy technologies.

Colombia has laid the foundations for a transformative process for the energy transition, from  greater electrification with new technologies of renewable sources in the generation matrix, particularly onshore wind energy and more recently offshore, among others. As a result of the political and regulatory initiatives undertaken, Colombia has captured international attention and generated an atmosphere propitious for the concentration of investments on these technologies.

In this edition’s program, we open a dialogue with the new Colombian Administration to learn about its initiatives in the energy sector and to deal in depth with the challenges of the renewable energy sector, ensuring the sustainability of investments in the medium and long term, developing the necessary infrastructure to promote social inclusion and provide the most appropriate environmental response to ensure the modernization of the energy sector and its transition towards a decarbonized economy.

Let’s meet at Colombia Wind Power 2022! A valuable opportunity where you can deepen your knowledge on the main topics that will define the energy panorama in the coming years and be updated on the evolution of the renewable energy market in Colombia and on the world’s most new trends.
